FAQ · Before you call
Honest answers about the system.
The questions Lakewood and Jefferson County homeowners ask most. If yours isn't here, the line picks up 7 days a week, 7 AM to 9 PM.
01
Are you a licensed HVAC contractor in Colorado?
Yes. Lakewood AC & Furnace Repair is a licensed Colorado HVAC contractor based at 6900 W Jefferson Ave STE 125 in Lakewood, CO 80235. Bonded and insured. License number, EPA 608 certifications, and certificate of insurance available on request before any work begins.
02
What are your hours?
Open 7 days a week, 7 AM to 9 PM. Same hours every weekend — Saturday and Sunday included. After-hours emergency line for no-heat-in-winter and no-cool-in-summer situations because we know how fast a Colorado January or July gets dangerous.
03
Which areas do you cover?
All Lakewood ZIPs (80235, 80226, 80227, 80228, 80232) including Belmar, Green Mountain, and Bear Creek, plus Denver west side, Golden, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater, Applewood, Morrison, Englewood, and Littleton across Jefferson County and the west Denver metro.
04
How fast can you respond to a no-heat or no-cool emergency?
From our Jefferson Ave shop: typical arrival 20-40 minutes for Lakewood, Denver west side, Wheat Ridge, Edgewater, and Golden. Englewood and Littleton average 30-50 minutes. Emergency no-heat-in-winter calls and no-cool-in-summer-with-kids-or-elderly-home calls get priority dispatch.
05
Do you service high-altitude furnaces correctly?
Yes. Lakewood sits at approximately 5,500 feet, and Colorado high-altitude derating is a real specialty most out-of-state contractors miss entirely. We adjust gas valves, verify manifold pressure, run a combustion analyzer on every install, and certify the furnace operates within manufacturer spec at altitude. Wrong-altitude tuning is the #1 cause of premature furnace failure on the Front Range.
06
Do you install cold-climate heat pumps & mini-splits?
Yes. We install Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat, Bosch IDS Plus, and Carrier Infinity Greenspeed cold-climate heat pumps sized for Colorado winters — these systems hold capacity down to -5°F and below. For ductless work we install Mitsubishi and Daikin single-zone and multi-zone mini-splits for basements, garages, ADUs, and additions. We pull the Lakewood mechanical permit, coordinate the Xcel Energy rebate paperwork, and back installations with manufacturer warranty.
